Dragon’s Blood Wood, known as ‘dragon’s blood tree’ in some regions of China, earns its name from the red sap that oozes out from its tender leaves and seeds when pressed. Renowned for its excellent quality and aesthetic appeal, it is globally recognized as one of the most precious tree species and constitutes highly valuable timber. While this type of wood typically grows in southern China and Southeast Asia, it is occasionally found in the Sichuan-Tibet region as well.
